The History of Orbilal Stars

Orbital Stars was originally formed in 1978 as Horsham Planets when the club met at the sports centre in Horsham park using the centre's trampolines. In 1984 the club moved to the sports centre in Bewbush, Crawley when it was renamed Bewbush Bouncers. Again the club used the centre's trampolines and later changed its name to Lynx (After the helicopter of this name). The link was very tenuous and the name was eventually changed again, this time to the current name, Orbital Stars. The club was quite small and only able to meet a few times a week.

In Autumn 2003 Horsham Gymnastics Club moved from the Gym at Millais School to a purpose built centre in Horsham Park creating an oportunity for the trampolining club to take their place. Two trampolines were purchased and the club could now meet five evenings a week, Saturday mornings and run courses in the school holidays. The purchase of a third trampoline allowed the club to expand to its current size.

We currently have 80 members plus coaches ranging from Beginers up to competition level trampolinists.
